SETTING

With the new dawn there was a strange silence that fell on the Caern near Silver City New Mexico. Where had once been the bustle of kinfolk, children and the warriors of Gaia' presence, there was nothingness. The spirits had little to say, only the mention of great fires and dancing in darkness that had been the night before.

The Caern was old, it's people set in their ways, generations upon generations had been born and died on it's lands. A little forgotten corner of the great war, but now the focus of a Nation confused and concerned. Wherever you set out from, you would have heard of the vanishing of Silver City's Caern. A story akin to the old Roanoke tale. Some spoke of ancient pacts, others of great betrayals, whatever you heard it will do little to prepare you for the truth found in the dry mountains of the west.
