The Hounds of Hell have seen many kinfolk come and go, either a personal choice or death. Raine has been one that keeps coming around. Born in England and the second child, she grew up hero worshipping her Garou brother. She didn't want to go to regular schools. She wanted to be on the sept, learning what it was to be one of them. Her frustrations were enough to drive her parents mad until her mother found a release for her, art. With the stubbornness of her pride and the rising passion, she buried herself in that outlet to the point that she won herself an apprenticeship with Mad Mark Rude at the age of 16 at the local tattoo shop. Her dream? To work with theurges to create fetish tattoos for the Garou. Art was her life and she lived like a rockstar until she met her first husband.

But not all stories have a happy ending. He was the first to leave a mark on this kin's life. Tragedy followed when she lost him and her child. For a time she just existed and her work suffered so her brother gave her the perfect opportunity to start fresh by helping him and his wife while they were traveling with a  band of biker Garou; The Hounds of Hell. She swore she'd keep to herself if only to help out but her normal playful nature was brought out by the group. Live Hard, Love Hard, and Play Hard was the new way of life that she found and the taste was appealing.

One night while drawing on a table in the Deep, a young man came in. And so after some bad news, she saw him shift for the first time. It was later on that seeing him for a second time, she found the next man to leave an even deeper mark. It was with him that she found deeper strength to stand up for herself. She made it to be one of the first Kinfolk Alpha's the Hounds had and stood toe to toe with on of the Senior Members to get kinfolk a place on the front line. She was midwife, successfully bringing into the world every child, every mother's life fought with all of her skills to bring back after others had given up. In time the young couple found themselves soon to be parents and she was sent to Cerebus with the hunter's at Bren's request. It was there that the fates had different plans and her mettle was tested. 

She was taken and placed in a pocket dimension to be visited upon by nightmare after nightmare, losing her child in the process. She murdered, died, and wandered through empty hallways for what seemed like centuries without the sweet release of death. Then one day she heard the undeniable voice of sorrow, a song repeated over and over. She followed it to a small glen and found Bren once again. He told her, she died, trying to kill her daughter, having cheated on him, and trying to kill him. She didn't know if it was a trick or if it was real. She was soon to find out when Kent pulled her out later in Ireland, disoriented, full of fear, and doubting that what she saw was true. She joined again with Bren to make sense of the world and try to get back to the family she always wanted. Yet anger and fear won out and she destroyed everything. She betrayed Bren in hopes he'd never come save her again, took her adopted son and fled.

Going home for a time let her heal. Her devotion to her adopted son Luke brought the old hopes back for a good life. She returned to the Deep, bringing Luke with her so he could learn what it was to be Garou. He flourished, shifted, and died in battle. After his death she grew quiet and kept everyone at arm's length while she picked up the habit of researching into the occult after several instances showed her how much she changed and felt their marks. She doesn't talk about it very much and she will only use what she's learned for helping those that earned it. It was here Bren returned into her life to let her know about her daughter's son, her marriage, and offered her a place among the Hounds once more.
